Journal of Engineering Technology and Science Integration (JETSI) is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and integrity for all parties involved in the publishing process, including the publisher, editors, reviewers, and authors.
JETSI adheres to the Best Practice Guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). This ethical statement serves as a code of conduct for all participants in the publication process, emphasizing three core values:
- Neutrality, freedom from conflicts of interest in the management and publication of articles.
- Fairness, recognition of authorship rights and equal treatment regardless of race, gender, religion, or political belief.
- Integrity, commitment to honesty and transparency, free from plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, or duplication.
Publisher’s Responsibilities
- Ensure that all manuscripts undergo proper editing, peer review, and publication according to academic standards.
- Safeguard editorial independence and provide academic freedom for editors and reviewers.
- Protect privacy, intellectual property rights, and maintain editorial integrity throughout the publication process.
Editor’s Responsibilities
- Decide which manuscripts are suitable for publication based on quality, originality, and relevance.
- Treat all authors fairly and evaluate submissions without discrimination based on gender, race, religion, nationality, or political affiliation.
- Maintain confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and not use unpublished materials for personal research.
- Ensure that editorial decisions are based solely on academic merit.
Reviewer’s Responsibilities
- Assist editors in evaluating and improving manuscripts by providing objective and constructive feedback.
- Review manuscripts impartially and support their evaluation with clear arguments and evidence.
- Identify and report potential ethical issues such as plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, or citation manipulation.
- Maintain confidentiality and not use any information from the manuscripts for personal advantage.
Author’s Responsibilities
- Present research findings accurately, honestly, and without fabrication, falsification, or plagiarism.
- Confirm that the submitted manuscript is original and has not been published elsewhere or under consideration in another journal.
- Appropriately cite the works of others that have influenced their study.
- Comply with all ethical and scientific writing standards, and consent to editorial revisions that improve clarity without altering the substance of the paper.
